HTR Feature Article: The top 10 reasons why Crosby snubbed Letterman invite
By Greg Wyshynski In yet another "how the NHL should capitalize on the Olympic viewership column, Artie Gigantino of the San Francisco Chronicle Examiner makes a few salient suggestions (loved the newspaper ad) and a few awful ones (1. Ban fighting; 2. ???? 3. Get Olympic ratings). But this idea definitely resonated:

Matt Cooke's Dirty Hit on Marc Savard a Sign That Rules Need to Change in N
James Murphy A solid effort and textbook road game by the Bruins ended in an unfortunate 2-1 loss to the Penguins on Sunday. But the result Sunday was secondary, because Bruins center Marc Savard was the victim of a vicious blindsided elbow by Penguins forward Matt Cooke and, according to team representative Eric Tosi, will remain in Pittsburgh Sunday night with a team physician.

Thrashers to Winnipeg rumour wishful thinking
KEN WIEBE, QMI AGENCY Raise your hand if you’ve heard the one about the Atlanta Thrashers moving to Winnipeg being a “done deal.” NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly has his hand in the air and is using it to pour cold water all over the hot rumour that has gone viral in Winnipeg this week.

Source:"NHL will 'make it 7,' possibly 8." Winnipeg, Quebec,
glotz_99 writes "Rumors are swirling right now that the Atlanta Thrashers are heading to the great hockey city of Winnipeg and we are going to hear about it after the Olympics....If you remember on the Hockeybuzzcast Prediction Podcast back in December, I predicted we would start to hear these rumors post Olympics, everyone would deny them until after the season...hmmm
All bragging aside, while I would love to see it, I am not yet convinced.
Some sources are telling me they fully believe the NHL will move one or two teams in the next five years, but I am not certain those teams will move to Canada. "

Toronto deal could leave Bruins with bad hand
So this is what it has come to. The Bruins, currently mired in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, now have to keep an eye on the wretched Toronto Maple Leafs as much as they do anyone else. Don’t look now, Bruins followers, but the Toronto Maple Leafs just executed a pair of weekend trades, one which of which brings them tough and talented 24-year-old defenseman Dion Phaneuf, who is signed through 2013-14. That move may or may not turn around what has heretofore been a dreadful season for the Leafs, but it could have significant impact for a Bruins club that currently holds Toronto’s first-round pick in this year’s draft as a result of the Phil Kessel trade.
