Trade Teadline Rumors and Notes

Trade Deadline Morning News and Updates on a big rumor involving the Coyotes and Flyers, the possibility that Ian Laperriere will be on the go and a tid bit on Tkachuk.

From the Denver Post

The Denver Post is reporting that Ian Laperriere could be on his way out of Colorado today. It is noted that “Laperriere could be attractive to a contending team because he’s eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer after recent talks toward a contract extension yielded no deal.”

Also, according to the article Ryan Smyth believes that he will be staying with the Avalanche as he has not been contacted by Avs GM Francois Giguere about the possibility of waiving his no trade clause.

RossCreek – Sends this tidbit in to HTR

From ESPN’s Pierre Lebrun (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=3949967&name=lebrun_pierre):

“ESPN colleague E.J. Hradek e-mailed us tonight with a rumor he heard involving a bigger deal between the Flyers and Coyotes — Derek Morris and goalie Ilya Bryzgalov going to Philly in exchange for Joffrey Lupul, Scottie Upshall and Martin Biron.”

I can’t see it.

Tkachuk not going anywhere

The St. Louis Dispatch is reporting that “John Davidson insisted Tuesday night that there was no trade in the works involving Keith Tkachuk and pointed out that Tkachuk was in the lineup against Detroit.”

That Flyer/Coyote trade is absolutely ridiculous, if Hradek actually did send that to Lebrun then he should be out of a job and Lebrun should be reprimanded for reporting it.
