Vancouver Needs Goals….BAD!

The other night they beat Colorado 2-1, but anyone who saw that game knows it was all Luongo. Plus Colorado is incapable of having high scoring games back to back. The game before that, Vancouver lost to Anaheim 2-1, guess who scored for Vancouver, Edler, a rookie dman. Naslunds making 6M, the Sedins 3.575M each, Morrison 3.2M, Kesler 1.9, Cooke 1.5M, Bulis 1.3M and no one is putting the puck in the net. So who can they go after?

Marco Sturm (2.1M) – Is having a slow start but should be able to crack the 40pt mark even if he continues at this rate. He does have the potential for 60+. UFA next year.

Fredrik Modin (2.1M) – Well rounded player.

Anson Carter (2.5M) – Personally I wouldn’t take him back after holding out last summer (blahtently in it for the money) but he proved to be deadly with the twins, but Pyatt has been great with them for 1/3 of the price.

Radek Dvorak (1M) – For that price he’d be better than Bulis or Chouinard. Very fast and great on the PK, which could finally give Van their first shorthanded goal.

Ladislav Nagy (3M) – Hasn’t been producing up to Gretzky’s standards, except that one game after being benched (4pts), but since things are dieing in the desert, plus he’s a UFA next year, Nagy could be swung.

Peter Forsberg (5.75M) – UFA at the end of the year. Phili may want to trade him before they lose him for nothing like Colorado did. Could light it up with Naslund, scratch that, will light it up with Naslund.

Daniel Alfredsson (4.339M) – The Ottawa fans boo him, the guy can’t be happy there. He’s a great player who could use a trade. Very underappreciated by Ottawa. The one thing I agree on with Don Cherry.

Ruslan Fedotenko (1.65M) – Can score and is big, could replace Bertuzzi and get the Morrison Naslund line going again. Had 26 goals last year.
