leafy, the habs still are the best canadian team right now going forward…we are only going to get better

I could be wrong of course, but Montreal would be hard pressed to replicate their success of this spring next season. I think they were playing a little over their heads. Good team though, don’t get me wrong.

they will be good leafy the core of youngs guys are really good…bergevin will add to this team and we’ll bevery good again….looking at the canadian based teams though we are out front by a long shot ,i think ottawa will be worse than edmonton, and calgery

Every Canadian team is a yoyo, who cares who is ‘the best’ this off season.

the Sens made it to the 2nd round in 2013, ended up having the Jack Adams award winner behind the bench and were also perceived to have a rich amount of young, talented players to build with who were not only helping now, but would going forward.

then they ended up taking a massive fall.

With all these canadian teams, the one thing you can count on is inconsistency from year to year.

Who knows, on paper, the teams in september may look good, but it will be hard to predict now who will end up the best in 2015. there are too many what ifs.

As of today, Montreal is coming off the most success from 2014, but like i said, it’s never been a great trait of the Canadian squads to keep the momentum going.

The only certainty i can think of is that the Alberta teams will no doubt struggle again next year. The Flames are a couple years away at least, while the Oilers are just a mess.
