There’s rebuilding, and then there’s giving your fans absolutely no hope at all. If you’re a hockey fan in Washington, why would you go to a game except to see another team or player? May be Ovechkin, personally from what I’ve seen of him I’m not a big fan. Might be a good hockey player, but he’s not the kind of player will get behind as the selling point of the team.
