Weekes moves across the river
FAN590 in Toronto is reporting that the Devils have agreed to terms with former New York Rangers goaltender and unrestricted free agent Kevin Weekes.
Financial terms and the length of contract were not disclosed.Weekes is signed to be a servicable backup to Martin Brodeur, something the Devils have not had in some time.
The 32 year old Toronto native went 4-6-2 with a 3.39 GAA in 14 games as the backup to Henrik Lundqvist in New York.
