What is the matter with Glenn Murray?

I watched the Bruins & Habs game last night, in which Boston was smoked 6-1. I don’t want to get all over the Bruins again this year because this is just one bad loss. However it reminds me of some of the painful ones last year. They are playing with some grit and passion, and that should make them competitive every game. They should be battling for that 8th spot all year long.

Anyways, from what I saw during the game is that Glenn Murray does not even belong in the league anymore. He could still be valuable on the power play but that is about it. At 4 million plus a season that is too much to pay for a power play specialist. He is slow and looks to be really out of shape. It’s too bad because the guy is a good hockey player. He cannot keep up and he looks really bad.

Glenn has slowed down bigtime and when he gets the puck he cannot move the puck forward quick enough, and as a result he usually just dumps it off somewhere. He is a big liability on a team that cannot afford anymore liabilities. Why do they not just replace Murray with Bochenski. Bochenski is almost an identical player, they are both snipers that are big and soft as pillows. They should put Glen Murray on the 3rd or 4th line and use him on the power play. If he doesn’t like it then tough luck! Demand a trade then.

They should seriously look at dumping Glenn Murray to whoever wants him. It doesn’t matter if they get a six pack of water bottles in return. It pains me to talk like this as a longtime Bruins fan, because at one time Glenn was a valuable player to the team.

I hope you prove us wrong Glenn! Any other comments regarding the Bruins club this year?
