Where the Wild things….drop out of the playoffs??

I would like to start by crediting a previous article, about the Minnesota wild. it mentioned the desperation of Chuck Fletcher, to maintain a playoff spot. in my personal opinion, I think their offense is doing it right; the defense, not so much. A defensive defenseman, along with a puck-moving man may be what the wild need. Clearly, Schultz and Lundin cannot man the blue-line at the required level, so what could the boys in burgundy be after? lets take a look:

To Philadelphia:
1st in 2012
Marco Scandella
4th in 2012
To Minnesota:
Kimo Timmonen
Andrej Mezaros
Other names could include:
Mark Streit

Ryan Suter

Luke Schenn
Alex Pietrangelo

no way Philadelphia gives up players for picks. They are going for a cup, this deal will never happen.

    Mixed opinions on this, lol.

Granlund is a beast, and he's an upgrade over Kadri
Clutterbuck is something our team lacks and needs
Minnesota needs scoring so throw them Mac Arthur and Kadri actually has more of a chance to play here then there.
Although Granlund won't be in the NHL for a while, i think he has more upside then Kadri

agreed.. but i think philly will be more then happy to do this at the draft. Philly will be looking for a makeover on the back end at the end of the season with or without a cup. Dumping all that salary and getting a first and a solid rookie defenceman in scandella would be perfect. Not sure if minnisota would tho after this season. Not sure how much hockey the two defenceman coming back will have left. Tho if they dont have declining years next year i think it would be great for both teams. Minni finally with a playoff team? woah weird.. (lol coming from a leafs fan..)

You won't get Granlund alone for that pile of garbage. He's the future of that team, possibly a better playmaker than Koivu already is for them. Clutterbuck is for the Wild what Jason Blake used to be for the Isles, the difference is he isn't a 40 goal man though. He's not the most talented player, but he's the spark plug, he gets them fired up and he's a big part of that team. You'd be asking them to trade a future franchise talent and their identity for inconsistent Kadri, streaky MacArthur, and a 3rd rounder, insane. Anyone would love to get those 2, that's why they aren't going anywhere.
