No Mike Bossy? One of the best pure goal scorers ever, not even on the list. 4 cups..50/50..not even on the list? Islander hater!

  2. trademan says:

The players that I have added do not go back 20 years. That;s why bossy is not on the list. For that sake Rocket Richard will not be included either when we get to teh r's

please don't do this for every letter. it could get very tedious and annoying

Sick game tonight.  Habs looked overwhelmed whenever Washington turned it on.  It looks like goaltending isn't going to matter in this series.  Anyone think they'll go to price in game 3?  I think they have to give Halak another shot, because if Price lost game 3, they'd murder him in the streets.

The Habs are giving up the blue line way too easily. Since the Caps score mostly off the rush, you're playing right into their hands if you keep letting them get into your zone and at high speed.

Yea Halak wasn't great but you can't let the Caps motor into your zone like that. But Washington deserves credit too, they stepped it up a notch.

  6. reinjosh says:

    Yeah, it was nuts.

The end minute was pretty sweet too. Carlson has a figgin sick wrist shot

I have to say, with all the goals being scored in these playoffs (even Boston is scoring!), I'm enjoying playoff hockey more than 10-15 years ago.

The new clutching, grabbing and hooking rules seem to be working. The 1990s was the all-time low period for playoff hockey when even a shot on goal was a big deal.

I don't like many things about today's game like the instigator rule, head shots, and the lack of fighting.  But the increase in goals is a huge positive.

    KINGS GAME WAS SWEEEEEET!!!

If not for my boy Mikael Samuelsson it could be 2-0 right now. Kings will win both games at home and take the strangle hold on this series. GO KINGS!!!

Sorry for those of you who cheer for any old Canadian team but I'm not like that. And I have to respect my Slovenian roots.

I find the parity in these playoffs unbelievable. Almost anybody can take the Cup. It's wide open.

As a Habs fan, I more than happy going home tied up a one.  In all honesty, I believe Montreal  really should have won that game. They proved they can score goals, no they just have to tighten it up defensively.

Montreal is going to be a mad house, I think Washington's shaky goaltending will be exposed and the fans will feed off it.  It would have been awesome to see how bad they would have given it to Theodore.

You forgot the best player on your list. How could anyone forget about the great AKI BERG.

  12. mojo19 says:

That's so funny. We were just talking about that right before I read this comment. Its very true.

In my pool (13 people, snake draft), I really wanted Wings and Devils, and with my first three picks I was able to grab Zetterberg, Parise, and Langebrunner. Then I got Bertuzzi and Kronwall. And in the 6th round the Sabres were pretty much picked clean but no one took any Bruins, I didn't think they'd win the series but they've got a shot so I picked Bergeron and then Big Z. Last three picks were Clarkson, Theodore/Varlamov (3 pts for shutouts, 0 for wins, plus any assists they get), and then last pick I went to Nashville for Jason Arnott. I figure ***** it, Arnott can grab me some points and the Preds have a good chance to win that series. Everyone thought it was a waste to take Arnott but I think that series could go 7, right now I look pretty smart.

I agree that they probably should have had that one.  I felt the refs were really helping washington at the end.  still, whenever washington turned it up a notch, the habs just looked like they were out to lunch temporarily.  It's not as though Halak was unbelievable either – both teams have allowed 8 goals.

  14. cam7777 says:

I just jumped on the Kings bandwagon.  They're my team for this playoffs.  Let's hope they can get past Luongo and the sisters.

But I wanted to vote for Zarley Zalapski when his letter came up.
