Who's going to pull the trigger first?
Now that we are a month through the “new” NHL and teams are getting a better look of the new system, I’m curious which GM is going to have the balls to make the first trade? With many teams overachieving, and many more underachieving how long do they hold off?
Will a trade by Pittsburgh start an onslaught of trades through the league, or will GM’s continue to hold off until the bitter end? Now that they have to start to think about both the player and the money, are there GM’s out there that are just going to freeze and do nothing?
Teams I feel that need to make a move soon are, Pittsburgh obviously (bet they are not happy they didn’t choose Cujo now), Dallas (what is going on there?), Atlanta (desperate need of a goalie), Washington (help for Ovechkin?), St.Louis, Columbus, Toronto… I mean the list goes on.
I would like to know your thoughts? Biggest questions I have are: When will it start, and once it does do you think it is going to steamroll through the league?
