Wild rumor

There is speculation that the Canadiens and Wild are talking trade. Marian Gaborik is not in the lineup for the tonight’s game against Florida. According to sources (http://blogs2.startribune.com/blogs/wildblog/) Gaborik didn’t seem to be injured although the team listed him as so with a lower body injury.

Corus Sports and Michel Villeneuve reported rumors coming from Minnesota that Gaborik could be going to Montreal in exchange for Chris Higgins (who could be ready to play on Saturday and might have been ready on Wednesday against Boston), Ryan McDonaugh and a draft pick.

Also, Koivu was not at practice this morning and no reason was given…

Halak wouldn't be too valuable to Minnesota with Harding and Backstrom already between the pipes. And Brent Burns is way too valuable to Minnesota right now. Even though you did offer a decent package of young guys and a 1st rounder, I don't know if those particular guys make sense for the Wild. That deal doesn't benefit the Wild really at all. I would expect them to try to contend this year anyway's.
