I think it all factors down to the cap hit. If we can lock in Grabo to a reasonable cap hit and keep it between 3.1 and 4.5 then we are doing quite nicely. I mean if Grabovski wants to stay here then I could see him giving us a little break on the money. Like I have heard before if Grabovski asks for a number like Liles got I say you give him the choice of how long. I will take a 3.9 cap hit on Grabovski any day of the week. (Assuming his play stays as is.)

I don't know if it is money but rather the day he came in he made it clear to the owners. This is going to be my team and I want 100% control over who I bring in. So by that logic he is always 1 step ahead in all trades.

Sadly by far the best UFA center on the market I would say by far is Grabovski. The only other UFA forwards of consequence might be Semin or Parise and neither, particularily Parise are guaranteed to be there.

Ah see thats where we differ. I don't think he's valuable enough to get a Colborne. If he won't stay for a reasonable amount and we can get a Colborne, I'm all for it.

I just would prefer we add NHL pieces instead of prospects as this point.
