Wings to make trades?

According to a story on Spectors, the Wings may be looking to make a trade in order to find a replacement for the recently departed Brendan Shannahan…..The Wings have had a very quiet offseason thus far, which has more than just a few Wings fans (myself included) questioning which direction Ken Holland is leading the club in. Losing both Yzerman to retirement and Shannahan to the NYR thru free agency in less than a week and now on the verge of the questionable acquisition of Ed Belfour, many of the Redwings faithful may be questioning whether or not we are witnessing the end of an era.

This story may shed a glimmer of hope for Wings fans who thought that Holland might just be sitting back and watching this offseason. Apparently Holland is entertaining the idea of signing UFAs (Sergei Samsanov and Anson Carters names were mentioned), as well as the idea of trading for talent.

One question: keeping it realistic, and taking into account that the Wings only have 13 players signed and $13 million in cap space, who would sign from free agency, who would you trade and who would you trade for if you were going to make any moves?
