Worst trades ever
This article is about the worst trades ever. And I suppose waiver transactions can be included as well. Major screw ups by GM’s, that they really wish they hadn’t done now. What do you people think are the worst trades ever? Here’s my list (Not in any order).
Note. trades in the 70’s and 80’s are before my time, so this only 90’s and the present. But feel free to post them.

New York Islanders traded Tommy Salo to the EdmontonOilers for Mats Lindgren and 8th round selection (Radek Martinek) in 1999.
Honorable mentions to Jaromir Jagr and Pavel Bure trades. But I can understand that they were bad because of the high salaries. However the prospects might develop yet so we don’t really know.
Toronto Maple Leafs placed Steve Sullian on waivers (later to be claimed by Chicago)
Edmonton Oilers placed Ray Whitney on waivers (later to be claimed by Florida)
Ney York Islanders placed Martin Straka on waiver (claimed by Florida)
