DREGER: LECAVALIER TO SIGN FIVE-YEAR, $22.5M DEAL WITH FLYERS
According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, veteran forward Vincent Lecavalier has agreed to sign a five-year, $22.5 million deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.
The deal will also include a full no-movement clause.
Flyers captain Claude Giroux told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com that he is pleased with the soon-to-be newest member of his squad.
“Very excited, he’s going to bring a lot to our team,” said Giroux to LeBrun.
The former Tampa Bay Lightning captain became a free agent this off-season after his former team used a compliance buyout to eliminate his $7.727 million salary cap hit through the 2019-20 season.
