Stephen Weiss and Maxime Talbot Available?
Panthers Move Stephen Weiss?
On the surface this makes little sense considering he just had wrist surgery, but there’s talk it’s possible he could recover in time to play this season.
Just keep this in mind….
Another Luongo to the Leafs rumor
Bill Watters says on the NiteCap that he still believes that Roberto Luongo is still going to be a Maple Leaf.

Should Flyers re-acquire Jaromir Jagr?
On his 41st birthday, Jagr was asked if he was considering retirement. He answered by saying he’d continue to play as long as he could in the NHL, equating his love of the game to marriage.
“Would you have imagined you’re going to stay with your wife that long?” Jagr told the Dallas Morning News. “Well, you love her. You’re going to stay with her as long as you can. If you don’t, there’s no reason to be with her. It’s the same thing with hockey for me. I just love the game.”
Miikka Kiprusoff brushes off trade rumours
“I try to stay out of that,” shrugged the habitually-nonplussed goaltender of trade speculation. “I try to keep it simple, still. I try to help team here. Try to win games.
“Everything else is out of my control.
“So there’s no reason to think about it. At all. It’s NHL. Every year, it’s the same talk. A part of the game. My name is out there, too.
“But I can’t worry about it too much.”
Haggerty: Pressure’s on for Chiarelli to make a move
Clearly the Bruins are interested in Iginla’s services, and those feelings have intensified as any potential trade hopes with Ottawa for Daniel Alfredsson went up in smoke as the Senators kept on winning. The Calgary Flames captain has become the No. 1 target for the Bruins on their trade wish list, and fits the ball for Boston on so many levels.
Iginla is a fiery leader, he’s a physical presence still capable of playing the power forward position at an elite level and he was good enough to still score 32 goals last season at 35 years old.

The Rangers are chasing Boyle but are also willing to deal Marian Gaborik, who has one year and $7.5 million left on his deal. That’s a high price tag. Is there a market?

NHL trade deadline: Who’s still on the market?
With Ryan Getzlaf (eight years, $66 million) and now Corey Perry (eight years, $69 million) re-signed by the Anaheim Ducks and off the trade market, who’s left on the NHL trade front ahead of the April 3 deadline?
Rumblings: GM meetings firing up rumors
• The New York Rangers have been on the lookout for a top-four, right-handed defenseman and a source told me Tuesday that the Blueshirts have interest in veteran Dan Boyle from the Sharks. There’s an obvious connection there, with Rangers head coach John Tortorella having coached Boyle in Tampa Bay when the Lightning won the Stanley Cup in 2004.
NHL trade rumors: Flames like Matt Read, Senators looking for top-six forward
Elliotte Friedman brought up Philadelphia Flyers forward Matt Read in his 30 Thoughts column on Monday. With Read battling back from a rib injury, Friedman wrote about how teams respect the player’s toughness. Given that Philadelphia is looking for help on the back-end, Friedman stated without actually stating that any deal with the Calgary Flames for Jay Bouwmeester would likely include Read, via CBC.ca:
If Philly does any business with Calgary, know that Flames assistant GM John Weisbrod has chased Read for years.

Hockey World: Perry, Iginla, Clowe in play to move by NHL trade deadline
With the NHL trade deadline 24 days away, there are way more buyers than sellers because there are few teams that are definitely out of the playoff picture, barring a miracle run — the Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres.
