Buds and Bruins Trading Partners? Where will Doug end up?
Since the Board has been slow lately I thought I would pass the following rumours along. (One trade the other UFA news)
There have been reports out of the Toronto media (Toronto Star & Toronto Sun) that the Leafs and Bruins are discussing a trade involving disgruntled Boston centre Jason Allison. The Leafs would send holdout D-Man Tomas Kaberle and you guessed it (Jonus Hoglund) to Beantown in exchange for Allison.
I personally think this is complete nonsense. This trade is so completely one-sided in favour of the Leafs that it can’t possibly be true. Although when Mike O’Connell and Harry Sinden are involved, anything is possible!!!
The other bit of news concerns the fate of UFA Doug Gilmour. Reports out of the Ottawa Sun state that Gilmour’s agent has entered into discussions with Montreal GM Andre Savard. The Senators and Blues were also mentioned as possible suitors!
