Canucks and Tampa looking to make some deals?

Darren Dreger of speculates that the Canucks are actively shopping Ohlund and that the Tampa Bay Lightning are eager to shed some salary.

Some of the names that are mentioned that the Lightning could be willing to trade include the recently signed Olaf Kolzig and Radim Vrbata. Of interest in the article is that it is mentioned that the Canucks may be willing to make a trade with the Lightning about the availability of Matt Carle who could be brought in to fill a defensive void in the event that Ohlund is traded.

HTR would find it very hard to believe that Ohlund would be the one to be traded out of Vancouver. He has a no trade clause and is very happy to be in Vancouver. HTR believes that it is much more likely that Sami Salo is traded despite his no trade clause as the Mike Gillis has tried hard to rid the Canucks of injury prone players since his arrival.

Why do we need offsides and icings in hockey?  They cause too many whistles and slow the game.  There's no offside in golf, so that proves my idea works.

Ohlund is coming to the Habs for O'Byrne and Bégin.

    you're kidding right?

Dude that's a brutal trade. Ohlund might be the 2nd best defender who's truly available as a rental right now. He'll bring in a really big return.

    To Habs: Ohlund
To Canucks: 1st rounder, Ryan O'Bryne

Maybe a bit high, but Ohlund will go for a big price if he's traded.

The Flyers have acquired defenseman Matt Carle from Tampa Bay for defenseman Steve Eminger and forward Steve Downie.

Yeah, it would take both Kostitsyns, Price, Markov, 20 1st rounders and Gillette's grandchildren, eh pezz?
