CANUCKS SIGN D BARKER TO ONE-YEAR, $700,000 CONTRACT
The Vancouver Canucks have agreed to terms on a one-year, $700,000 pro-rated deal with free agent defenceman Cam Barker.
Barker, 26, dressed in 23 games for the Texas Stars of the AHL this season, recording eight points and 24 penalty minutes. He played in 25 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season, scoring 2 goals and picking up 23 penalty minutes.

ok Edmonton fans …. How did Barker play for you last year?
This is a low risk high reward contract IMO. Barker has the tools if he puts it together look out, great impact.
Hickey was just placed on waivers today, Edmonton should grab him.
I think toronto should grab him. Could be a bit of a project.
