Flyers president expects Forsberg decision to 'happen quick'
The Flyers’ bid to sign Peter Forsberg took an interesting turn Saturday when general manager Paul Holmgren revealed he is in Sweden on a scouting assignment.
While Holmgren’s trans-Atlantic flight is not expected to yield a return ticket for Forsberg today, it could pave the way for Forsberg’s return to Philadelphia later this week.
Holmgren said he was in Sweden to see 22-year-old Swedish phenom Fabian Brunnstrom and a few draft-age prospects. When asked if he also planed to pay Forsberg a visit, Holmgren replied, “Not really.”
