Forsberg to be traded before weekend?
No doubt about it, Peter Forsberg wants out of Philly, and with the team looking to start rebuilding, he is their greatest asset to fill the holes on Defence and in Net.Something is up with Forsberg this year. When he didn’t take the penalty shot asked of him by Ken Hitch*****, fans across the NHL knew something was wrong with him. Retirement has always been a word that follows Forsberg around from his playoff spleen injury in Colorados Stanley Cup season. But Forsberg again today in a press conference is talking about retirement and going home because he just isn’t enjoying his hokcey career this season, basically the pain isn’t worth it to play in Philly.
Does Forsberg want to reitre, or just play for a winning team?? Philly has not been the team it was cracked up to be for Forsberg, a Stanley Cup favorite at the beginning of last season, the Flyers are the worst team in the East and in relaity they aren’t going to make the playoffs or come close to threatening for a Cup.
Forsberg at the end of his career wants to play for a winner, and who can blame him? For a guy that plays in pain every night, and has been doing so for many years, taking the aches and pains of injury for a team that is looking 2-3 years down the road just cannot be inspirational. Forsberg wants out, and the rumours are he’ll be gone before the weekend.

Why Philly would want 5.5 million Theo is beyond me the way he has played this year. Why Nabokov would want to leave a Stanley Cup contender and play for Philly (he has a no trade clause so why choose Philly), Calgary needs a #2 center and Fobo is a guy that would look great along-side Jerome.
Thoughts? I say Calgary gets him.
