Greatest Russian Scorer At Age 23!?

Who is the greatest Russian scorer of all-time? I’ll tell you all my opinion.

I know all of you are going through a lot of different names right now. Malkin could possibly be a great scorer, in the future, and who knows. Pavel Bure dominated for years, and is still remembered, and is a hall of famer to come for sure. Alexander Ovechkin is a great scorer no doubt, but is not the person I have my eye on.

I think the greatest is Ilya Kovalchuk.

He’s my favourite player, but that’s besides the fact. If you’ve ever watched Atlanta play you’d see his skills, and his vision on the ice. His slapshot can’t be compared to anyone, it’s lethal, and no one does a better one-timer on the ice! You hear annoucer’s from different cities talking about it, it’s phenomenal!

He’s a scorer, and most goals nowadays tend to come from the PP let’s face it, and he specializes in that area. This year, he’s in a slump right now of a few games, but as he’s done in the past, he’ll come back strong, and better than ever! He’s recorded two hat-tricks thus far, and both of them were all on the powerplay! 3 goals in one game on 3 different powerplays is an accomplishment itself, and to do it twice is something even better! He’s a force in each game, and is always eyed by the opposing team. Let him a clear path to take a slapshot, and the back of the net is where you’ll find it 85% of the time!

I know there are great other russian scorer’s, but I think Kovy has proven that he has the desire, and heart to become the best goal scorer. That is why he and Ovechkin are deadly. They both have the goal scorer’s instinct. Was I the only one who watched the olympics this year to see them both there?

I don’t think so.

He’s without a doubt in my mind on his way to becoming the very best clutch goal scorer ever to come out of Russia. Everyone seems to be aware of his will to get his name that far. I think a lot of people see it in him. And I’ve got one line to say that will leave you all thinking and knowing that the Atlanta staff knew he was a special player.

Kovalchuk was selected first overall in the draft, and is the first ever Russian player to be selected first overall, the future is Kovalchuk!
