habs on the verge of something big

The Montreal Canadiens are in a desperate situation to produce a winning formula both on and off the ice. This being the 100th year, you’d assume Bob Gainy would loosen up a little to provide the people and fans of the red-white and blue with something to remember.

In the past they have drafted well, and stock piled the prospect pool, but they always carried a bit of dead weight as well.

We need a young physical body down the center, who who better then Jordan Stall of the Pens. what are your thoughts of this trade? or one that could help us build a winning formula….

To Montreal – Jordan Stall+ 3rd pick
To Pittsburgh- Kovalev and Chris Higgins+ mid prospect

Staal may be a very goodpick up, but you are giving up too much! Staal hasn't proven that he is a number 2 cetre let alone a number one which is what Mtl needs. There are a lot of players who excel in one siyuation, but are just average when moved up! Higgins and a mid prospect should be enough to compensate for age and potential. Higgins is a bit older but could well be the winger the Penguins need to play with Crosby!
