Isles sign Bates to 3 Yr Extention
Newyorkislanders.com is reporting that the New York Islanders have signed Shawn Bates to a 3 year contract extention. This leaves only a number of guys the team might try to move by the 9th. Mark Parrish, Oleg Kvasha, Aaron Asham, possibly Brent Sopel and Alexei Yashin.
I would place Jason Blake, Trent Hunter and maybe Miroslav Satan, Sean Bergenheim and Robert Nilsson as keepers for the offense, they might shop Mike York but he’s having a lot of chemistry with Hunter and Satan.
