Kings may move three defenseman

With the LA Kings visiting the Detroit Red Wings yesterday there was a ton of talk that the two teams could be talking trade as well.

The Detroit News in reporting that the Red Wings are interested in adding some defensive help and it is widely speculated that the Kings are planning to unload as many as three of their defenseman. The three players who are named that may be on the go include Rob Blake, Brad Stuart and Jaroslav Modry.

Other teams that are mentioned that may have interest in Blake include the San Jose Sharks and the Colorado Avalanche. As indicated in the article it is likely that Blake will resign with the Kings in the summer.

    You do know that LA will have a top 3 pick in 2008, which is a deep draft year…but than again it is Joni Pitkanen

    Why would they give up at least a top 3 pick for a player they got rid of already and sorry the only stupid team willing to give up their top three pick for a marginal player is Edmonton.

    Why would edmonton give up a top 3 pick…….? your an idiot and for a young player like pitkanen who was a 4th overall pick and has a bright future + a prospect (doesnt have to be Grebeshkov) i would make that deal

    Some say the Ducks are now the frontrunners for Blake but i don't see how they could add him and his salary to an already crowded blueline unless a guy like Beauchemin or Schneider was going the other way.

    Either way i think the Wings will either get Blake or Stuart at the deadline.
