With Vancouver already locking up the “core” for next season, I wonder what is in store for the rest of the players?
After last nights game and the big splash by Calgary, Vancouver looks like they are poised for a big trade. It looked to me like an audition for the two call ups Reid and Moran and they did very well. This is bad news for Morrison however. He seems to be the odd man out and is the most likely trade bait. The Canucks need a d man and a center to play with Naslund, (Forsberg) and if the Canucks are serious it will take more than just Mo but this is what it would look like,
As far as I have heard there are not just three teams in on Forsberg and Vancouver is definately interested. Apperantly there were Vancouver scouts in the crowd last night at the Flyers game and Forsberg would definately waive his no trade clause to play with his old friend Naslund. I am positive that the canucks would have to give up Sami Salo in this deal and most likely Cory Schneider as well. I am guessing one more player or draft pick but I don’t know, maybe Bulis.
Canuck topics, here are just a few topics on the canucks you may want to read if you have some free time or have nothing better to do.
As mentioned on the Hot Stove Chicago is looking to unload a goaltender….
Roberto Luongo was unreal tonight, and stood on his head, just like he has been for more then half a dozen games. The other day I was saying he hasn’t been great, and all, because I thought he was just having a few good games, AND not let in a weak goal. Now I think he’s getting his game.
Trades Nonis should make to stay on top of Northwest.
There is no doubt that nucks are struggling.they have been struggling since Brian Burke was gone.So
Here are some trade possibilities for noniss (who is not a really good G.M)
Morrison and 4th round pick for Forseberg
We all remember the Luongo for Bertuzzi trade, so far it has been a complete bust for Florida. Come this summer Bertuzzi will become a UFA and more than likely will leave Florida. What if Vancouver made a push for him at the deadline?
I’m bored, so i’m gonna write what I think the Canuck’s should do this Summer.
Instead of crying about Montreal’ lack of exposure, do your homework and look what we get as Canuck fans. We get 14 games this year and it took major pressure to get the 14th against Nashville earlier this season. Every year we are neglected, not only in Vancouver, but out west everywhere. We have three very competitive teams, not so much Vancouver lately, but all three are tough to play against. We have plenty of star power and went to the cup final twice in the past three seasons. I just dont get it when you complain about stuff that isnt really that bad.
Ed Jovanoski will play his old team for the first time as a Coyotes, or for any team. This will be a great night in Canuck’s history, but I hope the Yote’s blowout the Canucks. The Canuck’s are so dumb for not signing him, they honestly messed up there team by not signing him. Let’s be honest, Willie Mitchell is not worth 3.5 million a year.
There are soooo many thing Dave Nonis could have done in the off season, but didn’t do.
Its reported on Sportsnet News tonight from John Garrett and the rest of the Hockey Central panel that Bondra’s agent has contacted the Canucks about a possible return to the NHL.
Canucks Solution for goals right under Dave Nonis Nose.
The other night they beat Colorado 2-1, but anyone who saw that game knows it was all Luongo. Plus Colorado is incapable of having high scoring games back to back.
