Redden to be shipped out of Ottawa?
Slam Sports is suggesting that Wade Reddens days as a Ottawa Senator could be coming to an end. It is speculated that the huge contract of Dany Heatley and the pending UFA of Jason Spezza could be the catalyst for the Sens to move Redden because they will most likely not be able to resign him at the conclusion of this season.
Redden presently earns 6.5 million per season, a ton of cash for a solid defenseman. HTR believes that although Redden is a great player he may be hard pressed to earn 6.5 million on the free agent market. Although Redden may not be moved for some time, closer to the trade deadline, anything is possible.
