Devils Are The Team To Beat!
Right behind Ottawa the Devils are looking like they will be a team to beat in the Playoffs. People said this team would not be as good because of the loss of Gomez and lack of depth up front…
A few reasons why they are rolling and will keep on rolling!
1. Yup, you guessed it! Martin Brodeur! He is always consistent and it was the first time this season he really had a bad start. He is one of their leaders and arguably one of the best goalies to play.
2. Z. Parise….He has 40 Points in 43 games and only 23 years old! Leading the team with goals and points he is looking like he will be Jersey’s top snipers for a while.
3. Brent Sutter. No need to say anything, his resume speaks for it’s self. People thought he would be the first to get fired after a bad start but the Devils have really adapted to it and their transition game is really good.
4. Experience. Most of their players have played in the post season and you know Marty Brodeur always plays amazing in the playoffs.
Not many people/fans speak of New Jersey but I believe they are the team to beat in the east come playoff time. They have a #1 goalie, experience, a great coach and one of the smartest GMs in the league. Maybe they will pick up some extra fire power before the deadline.
I believe they are better than Ottawa simply because of their defense & goaltending …
