Has everyone forgotten Jordan Staal is a rookie?
Everyone says Malkin, Statsny, Wolski, Penner, Carle, or even Ian White will win the Calder trophy, or atleast be a candidate for it, but does everyone remember Jordan Staal is a rookie? I honestly don’t think people remember he is a rookie, because when ever there been talk about rookie’s at all this season I havn’t heard anything about Staal, and it’s not like he’s not doing much. He has an impressive 28 goals, and be far his best stat is the he has more shorthanded goals then any team in the NHL (not combined). He has amazing reach then anyone in the NHL his stick is really long though, but still), he honestly can deke out someone better then Sid the Kid even. Crosby kinda just goes to the side and does a diving shot, and some how scores bad five holes goals everytime, and there never stopped, but Staal kind of just pulls it through everyone’s legs and does the fake and goes to his forehand. Staal is arguably the best all around player in the NHL (but that”s including at penaltykill and stuff, so we can rephrase and say the best all around penalty killer in the NHL).
