Jonathan Ferland Good For One More Year

According to canadiens.com, the Montreal Canadiens have signed Jonathan Ferland for one more year.

‘Last season, Ferland was assistant captain for the Calder Cup champion Hamilton Bulldogs. In 22 playoff games with the Canadiens’ farm club, the Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Qu├ębec native registered nine points (three goals, six assists), a plus-7 rating and 19 penalty minutes. During the regular season, Ferland’s fourth with the Bulldogs, the 24-year-old accumulated 37 points (23 goals and 14 assists), a plus-8 rating and 87 penalty minutes in 78 games.Selected by the Canadiens in the seventh round, 212th overall, at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the Ferland played nine games for the Canadiens during the 2005-06 season, recording one goal and two penalty minutes.’

    AND THIS GUY IS STILL A BETTER PLAYER THAN ANTROPOV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and ponikarovsky!!!!!!!!!!! if ferland was a makemelaugh prospect or player he'd be a first line winger for mats i can't win a cup sundin!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ferland should be given a fair chance to make a team as a 4th line winger to provide energie, grit and some scoring,He is quite capable of that.The problem is that Gainey signed kostopulos for that spot,and he always plays those whohe signed or traded for(Nurray,Downie,Johnson).Let's see if management gives him a fair chance.

    my point exactly! the make me laughs don't have these type of players to sign! they'd prefer to sign old washed up geezers! and that's why i said that this guy is better than antropov and ponikarovsky on our team those two clowns would be at best 4th line guys!!! so i do  know my hockey!!! think before you speak loco 42!
