It is very interesting. Sundin and Kaberle would have the best value. McCabe, Kubina and Blake would be difficult to deal, and Mark Bell is impossible to trade at his price.

For more details, check the link, and read below. There are 4 categories, and an extra one for Sundin. These are the categories and where each player is listed. For a little blurb on each, please check out the PDF file above.

Big Value
D Tomas Kaberle
G Vesa Toskala
F Nik Antropov
F Jiri Tlusty
F Nikolai Kulemin
G Justin Pogge

Surprising Value
LW Darcy Tucker
LW Alex Steen
D Hal Gill
LW Chad Kilger
D/F Wade Belak
LW Alexei Ponikarovsky
D Carlo Colaiacovo
C Matt Stajan (My personal favorite)

Tough to Move
D Pavel Kubina
G Andrew Raycroft (I totally agree)
F Jason Blake
D Bryan McCabe

Limited Value
D Anton Stralman
F Dominic Moore
D Ian White
C Kyle Wellwood (I disagree, I think there could be a big market for him, despite his injuries)
F Boyd Devereaux
D Andy Wozniewski
C John Pohl
LW Mark Bell (No one will take on his $2.5 million unless they are swapping as much in return, like Samsonov for Cullimore and Salmelainen)

Lastly, Big Value, BUT…..
Mats Sundin
At 36, still has lots left and is unrestricted at end of season. However, no-trade clause means he doesn’t have to agree to a deal, and can dictate which teams interest him.

What do you think of these rankings by Cox? I mostly agree, but disagree on some.
