10 Players to Watch at the Trade Deadline

Tsn’s Darren Dreger provides a list of who he believes are 10 players to watch at the trade deadline. Some of the names on the list include Scottie Upshall, Tomas Kaberle, Ryan Whitney, Michael Nylander and others.

This article is a great read and it is interesting to note that in the case of Michael Nylander Dreger indicates that despite the remaining years on his contract the Canucks may have some interest in his services.

It is also interesting to note that the Penguins may be interested in moving Ryan Whitney for some forward help. HTR notes that with all of the offensive flair in Pittsburgh you would think that the Pens would try to keep all of their defense in place.

As usual, Dreger's sources appear to be nothing more than speculation.

Upshall, Whitney, and Nylander are going nowhere. contending teams simply dont trade current assets, no matter how small. and combine the cap crunch with the recession and you can bet few teams will be acquiring big contracts.

    The NHL should ban helmets!

Low-fat food products = sky rocketing obesity

Hockey helmets = sky rocketing concussions

Why?  Cuz helmets and low-fat foods are part of a big commie conspiracy!!!!

jay bo is staying in FLA for at least the playoffs

yeah only if Jbo wants too. think of what teams like ottawa and anaheim who are most likely not going to make the playoffs could give for boumeester. both teams have excellent playoff experienced players. florida might try to go for it… they have the goalie and their defence is quite good. with some scoring guys they could be a dark horse.
