I hate all of you people who make up deals that look like they are simply out of and NHL game. I am soooooo sure that the L.A Kings will trade away their star who is going to be a star there for a while, for a middle-aged 30 goal scorer who is slower than molasses on a hot summer day in Thailand. Come on people. Life is not a video game.

If any of you out there know anything about hockey and most importantly the HABs, you know that the only way Higgins is leaving MTL is in a BODY BAG. Higgins will be a superstar and our best player for years to comes. I would trade price before i trade Higgins and there's no way in hell that the Habs are stupid enough to lose guys like Higgins, Plek, Kostitsyn or Komisarek for a guy(Marleau) who's unproven and who becomes UFA next year!

1a) ryder is good for 30 goals. thats it. he brings little else to the table. halak is a good goalie prospect but the sharks have two guys who are on par with halak in thomas griess and dmitri patzold. they really dont need another goalie prospect. and dandenault is a jack of all trades player who can play forward and defence but is a master of none. he's a depth guy....being paid almost 2 million. all these table scraps for the sharks captain, a top centre who at age 27 is just entering his prime and for the last few years has gotten better each season.

1b) its the same as above but they throw in plekanec for bernier. plekanec is a solid player who on a good team will be an excellent number 3 centre. but bernier has strong potential to be a 30-40 goal man. production from the two players is relatively the same. as for potential, bernier has a bigger upside.

1c) finally here the habs give up something of value. it would actually be a very fair trade: higgins for marleau. i just dont see the habs giving up on someone who has so much upside, currently comes cheap, and is locked into staying a hab for a few more years yet. its these types of players teams need to keep in the cap era. home grown talent. marleau would be a great addition and its a fair deal, but they have koivu, they have smolinski, they have plekanec, they have lapierre. they can survive with the centres they have.

1d) i cant even comment on this one because it is so bad. if you wanted to make this so lopsided why the hell even bother giving up plekanec. you mind as well offer perezhogin who will likely never play again in the NHL because everything else you have going to the sharks is a whole lot of nothing.

2) i thought i read the worst when i read 1d) but this is comparable. cammellari is an offensive star in the making. he has the skills to go with heart....kind of like daniel briere. he is a guy who is going to put up points and more points. he brings plenty more to the table than ryder ever will.

3) this actually is the only deal fantasized that made some sense. defence is the stars deepest position in the organization and while boucher's loss would be significnant, they need scoring in a big way. they still have zubov and norstrom plus the emerging trevor daley as a top 3. plus some good prospects on the way. boucher would give montreal an excellent top 4 which is their biggest need right now, another top 4 dman they dont really need another centre.

your cap numbers seem way off. after signing ryder, montreal sits around 45mill. thats 5 mill till the limit, right?

Can you tell me where you are getting all this info from. Anything worth writing about should be referenced. I just don't see any of those situations happening. Why would San Jose give up its 2nd best goal scorer and 2nd best point getter who is fairly defensively responsible at +9. As for Camerlli 16 of his 34 goals were on the PP, when compared to Ryder 17 of 30 goals on the PP. Ryder scores a bit more of his goals on the PP but Camerlli is close behind, but still Camerlli has a far better +5 plus/minus rating. So why would LA want to give up their best point getter and 2nd best goal scorer for a down-grade in Ryder? I just don't see why these other teams would go for any of these trades. And am wondering where you are hearing this info from?

First of all, San Jose wouldn't Trade Marleau for Kovy and Bouillon. Kovy is maybe a player with great talent but doesn't work 3 games out of 4 and for Bouillon, even if he works hard and hits too, I don't think San Jose would take him because of his height and his point stats.

Secondly, never trade Halak? We have Huet,Danis,Price(Who is going to be the next #1) and Lacasse. Halak is a good keeper I know, but we can trade him for a Center that we need(Marleau). I say this because we have Huet for next year, and we can put Price for second goalie or Danis, who could do a good job.

Thirsdly, I would Trade Ryder even if he's the "Sniper" of the team. Even with his 30 goals, he has a differential of -25 or around that. we can have a good player that scores maybe a little bit less goals but who is goos in defense.

Finnaly, I have the same point of view for PLecky and Higgins, they are the futur of the team (especially higgins). For Locke, I don't know really, I don't know a lot about him and we didn't see him in the NHL.
