Forsberg does not drop from the top five I'm sorry....

I know everyone just assumes Edmonton selects a D-man because of all the recent forwards they've selected but MPS hasnt worked out for them and i think he'll be traded... besides Eberle Gagner Hall RNH and a couple other bottom 6 guys they have some aging forwards... guys who might be traded or retire soon...

So I just cannot see them passing up a Grigorenko or Yakupov....Gagner has shown he's a decent center but Grigorenko will be better i think... Grigorenko will be selected be Edmonton and will slide into the #1 center spot within a few years...

I dont see Edmonton passing that up....

so If Grigs is taken by Edmonton... MTL has to take either forsberg or Gal... Leaving the Leafs with the "leftovers" so to speak... Forsberg/Galchenyuk will go to MTL/TML..... either or....

Is the points against weak teams thing even true? I know it got mentioned by someone a little while back and I'm pretty sure it got debunked on HFBoards, at least the point where he doesn't show up against strong teams.

Now don't think I would not take Grigs I mean I really like him he has the potential of Malkin it is just I really do not like his compete level. I mean you look at his scoring and a lot of his points are against weaker opponents where as when he is challenged he never shows up.

Also yeah Gally had Yakupov but in TO he has Kessel and unlike Yakupov Kessel has those NHL seasons under his belt. Now I am not saying Yakupov won't have an amazing NHL career it is just it is not like Gally is getting put into a situation like Nash was drafted into.

In the end I just figured the draft would go as follows....

1. Yakupov (CBJ)

2. Murray (EDM)

3. Grigorenko (MTL)

4. Dumba (NYI)

5. Galenchyuk (TOR)

I'm not really into the idea of getting Nash anymore I'd waay rather target Dustin Brown for a way cheeper price.

If our wingers were Lupul, Kessel, Brown, Kulemin, Frattin, Kadri/Macarthur I'd be happy.

What Columbus wanted?

Rangers trade Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan McDonagh, Derek Stepan, Chris Krieder and a first-round pick for Rick Nash

What New York wanted?

Rangers trade Brandon Dubinsky, Tim Erixon, JT Miller, Christian Thomas and a first round selection for Rick Nash.

Is COlumbus high?

Nash is not worth THAT much. New York still gave them a great offer. Having Dubinsky and a sniper like JT Miller would go long ways for this franchose. Put Miller with Johansen and possibly Yakupov and thats a good, young line.

As well, Dubinsky will be a good second-line option while Erixon would be in there top-4.

Let's just imagine what the Leafs would have given up?

Grabovski, Gardiner, Kulemin, Kadri/Colborne, and a 1st.

And boom...There goes half your team.

BTW...Even CBC this weekend said Gardiner is the untouchable on the Leafs right now. He's too 'promising' for this franchise to give up.

STL Over SJS in 5 - Everything is going STL's way right now. This team is scary.

Phoenix's system is going to drown Chicago and they have guys that can put them past Emery/Crawford. I'm saying Nashville over Detroit as the homer vote. It could either way.

San Jose struggled hard this year. St Louis has everything going for them. I will be shocked if San Jose wins. Changes are coming soon...

If Richards/Carter can get going, I'm saying LA wins, but since they haven't yet, I'm going with Vancouver.

I don't expect Florida to do much. Ottawa is going to be a tough customer. I'm calling the upset. They will surprise.

Boston is way to anemic right now. I think Washington gets Backstrom back and with a surging Ovie, knocks them off.

I really think Philly pulls it together to shock Pittsburgh and the Malkin/Crosby show.

Yeah, the only reason I mention Quick in prominence is that I think the 'Nucks can equal the skill they possess up front. The defense is a toss up, though I've heard a few people around the Internets give the advantage to LA. Unless Luongo plays lights out, they could be in real trouble. Quick will steal a few games. If Lu can't match that, all the scoring talent in the world won't make it an easy series.

Hopefully Carter and Sedin can make it back in time.

Finally, yes, Philly Pittsburgh look like an incredible battle before all the end-of-season shenanigans that went on. Very excited for that one.... think Fleury could be the difference. Really too bad they don't have Pronger for that one. Gotta shut down the best and second best players in the world... on different lines!
