agreed, only piece I can see being offered that impresses Colorado and doesn’t leave Ottawa with a hole in another position this season is Zibanejad, which would never happen.

Avs are looking for immediate help. Ottawa cannot offer that. They have good young players, but they are all injured long term.

It would make a lot of sense for him to go here. He fills a void on a hurt team and the Sens are trying to build around young solid players, Murray should make a pitch for him. He would be getting a lot of ice time in Ottawa as compared to Philly, New York, Toronto or Pittsburgh.
