As much as I like Rem Murray as a “role player” for the Mighty Oilers, him signing in Europe is actually a very good thing. It opens up room in the roster for guys like Schremp, Pouliot, etc to get some playing time. Man, this team looks FANTASTIC…………….It’s time to go all the way Oiler Fans…………..BELIEVE!!!!!!!

    GO OILERS GO!!!!!!

i think the 4th line could turn into a big hole. The oilers might have to rotate 3 lines.

    Don’t get too optimistic, man!

You seem the kind of guy who’ll have many troubles handling a potential playoff miss…

I cheer for a team that I think superior to yours, and yet I’m prepared to a playoff miss since there is so much competition in our division (as well as yours).

Not saying the Oilers won’t make it, but before dreaming of a Cup, don’t think your playoff spot is assured…

If the Oilers miss the playoffs, I’d be devistated. I can handle it…………Hell, I handled them losing the Stanley Cup in game 7 to Carolina, so I think I can handle them missing the playoffs.

The Oilers are a more superior team to the Habs, and by a long shot. The Habs and Leafs are so over-rated this year. I’d be surprised if either made the post season.

Don’t worry about my Oilers. We are in great shape this season.

    GO OILERS GO!!!!!!!!

I think we’ll be just fine rolling three lines, and use the fourth as a backup/grit line in tough times.

    GO OILERS GO!!!!!

  6. BLUE_AND_WHITE says:

yeah but what happens if a couple guys are injured, you can’t roll 2 lines. oil should look at depth forwards like Perreault

  7. BLUE_AND_WHITE says:

i’d be happy as anything if the leafs made it to the cup finals. Look at what you are saying. The Leafs and abs improved, the Oilers tanked. The Leafs and Oilers are about the same (consistency issues, and question marks plague both teams), but the habs are better than the oilers. I think Edmonton, Vancouver, Minnesota, and Colorado could or could not make it.

As much as I enjoying giving you a rough time, the players that left during the off season weren’t the ones that were the main contributors to the Oilers success this past season. Look for a strong regular season but an early playoff exit. Battle of Alberta could involve some very good matches this year.

And the last thing that the Oilers have to worry about is depth at forward. They don’t know what to do with all their forwards. Ethan Moreau could easily wind up on the 4th line.
