NOT A BAD PICK UP NOW THEY SHOULD TRADE MURRAY FOR A BAG OF PUCKS. SAMSANOV REALLY NEEDS SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH. AND NO SAMSANOV WONT BE TRADED. AND WHO THINKS THAT TALK TO ME AFTER 3PM DEADLINE. GREAT PICK UP. HIS NUMBERS WERE NOT BAD EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT PLAY MUCH.

  2. The-President says:

I guess he had some value, JFJ is an idiot, he could have atleast got a pick for him, or atleast package him in a deal.

Watch, now he is going to be really good, hes going to want to prove himself, I’m calling it right now.

  3. The-President says:

Samsonov will be gone, talk to me about it aftr the 3pm deadline, and why the CAPS?

  4. thatleafsguy says:

LOL now everyone will say Czerkawski is a great pick up for the Bruins LOL

LATER CZERK WE WON’T MISSS YOU!

  5. bleedingblu says:

He might as well go to a team that will actually use him.

  6. Flyers70 says:

I’ll restate the obvious: The Bruins are trading Murray or Samsanov or both.

  7. Gretzkin says:

I hope that he gets a chance, and he will.

I hope that he plays great, as he has before, and helps the Bruins obtain enough points to knock the final nail in the Maple Leaf coffin.

That would be the end of Quinn, no doubt.

    Go Mariusz.

(Nice looking wife, by the way)

  8. simplyhabby says:

    To the Bruin fans….

    HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAA

Awful player. Even if he can skate and score 20 goals, his defensive mistakes cause 50 goals.

    TSN states his flaws perfectly.

    D-E-F-E-N-S-E

  9. Colasurdo says:

I think Hab fans tried that calling thing too when he left us..didn’t work..

Hab fans said the same thing watch this guy be good now that hes out of a hab uniform and he’s still been mediocre..

still a decent pickup for the bruins seeing they didn’t give up anything to receive him.

  10. JannettyTheRocker says:

Isn’t it funny how all of the Toronto Maple Laughs fans are complaining about Mariusz Czerkawski, and bragging that he is now the Bruin’s problem now…………….Back when the season started, all of us “Leaf-Hater’s” told you what a bust you were getting. But you ALL thought that this would be a great pickup, and your team would be better because of Mariusz……………all I want to say is…………WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!!

Another question. Why would anyone want to play for the Maple Laughs??? You’re team sucks now that you can’t spend three times as much as every other team. Sucks to be part of the Leaf’s nation I bet………….Have fun watching your team golf come April.

I find it interesting to read in the article Turner Stevenson was let go by Philly. He’s a former cup winner, hard worker and good defensive forward, something most teams would like heading into the playoffs. Is this a salary dump for another move? He was only making 1.2 mil.

  12. Beattie says:

    Not a bad pickup…

I was surprised that the Leafs didn’t at least give him more of a shot??

The guy had 25 goals the previous NHL season?

The Bruins are just running short on bodies up front… Axelsson, Isbister, Zhamnov, Samsonov (was surprised to see him on the boxscore last night though he had a sprained knee?)

    so it’s worth a shot…

I remember Czerkawski back when he originally started as a BRUIN he was a player I was hoping would develop into a decent forward. He didn’t stick around in beantown too long but lets home the 2nd time around he can regain his form/stats from the late 90’s/early 00’s. 😉

  13. buster says:

What did the Leafs get in return for Czerkawski?

  14. afanofthelakings says:

May Carolina have found their replacement for Cole in Samsonov ? Why not ?

  15. samsdad says:

As a Bruins fan, this is what I would do, not what they WILL do…..

    1) As much as i like Samsonov, there are 2 choices. Trade him now, or offer him 2.5 M. Sorry Sammy, you are not putting up the numbers for more than that…and I dont think anyone else will give you a big payday either.

    2) Murray – not a great skater, needs an assist type center. So…trade him or get a center that can feed him.

3)Raycroft – this team is not making the playoffs…trade him now.

    4) Boynton – not living up to the hype, part of the problem, not the solution.

    5)Zhamnov and Slegr…free…take em away.

6)Leech – take what we can get.

7)Our numerous 4th line players and PKers – Fitzgerald, Primeau,Green,LaCatoure,Isbister,Langfeld – its too many guys that fill the same role…so…keep Primeau and resign Axellson. Anybody need some PKers?

The Bs still have Moran coming back ( I know…nothing special but he can play D….so we can trade Dmen), and Stuart (Mark) in Providence.

Solution….speed speed speed…get some guys who can skate, pass and score some (15-30). The bangers arent doing it…..

  16. captainjoefish says:

this is a great pick as he still has some talent he had hockey

he will fit in on our top lines since all the injuries and he is much better then some of the guys we have playing like langfeld and lacouture

i think the bruins should put one of them on waivers and then pick up hilbert who has played last year in providence with boyes and bergeron.

and some may think he is bad but he cannot be as worse as Zhamnov or Mceachern

  17. thatleafsguy says:

    BYE BYE MARILOSE JERKOFFSKI =D

  18. wingerxxx says:

Why does Mike O’Connell still have a job as an NHL GM? Seriously. This is ridiculous.

  19. samsdad says:

I thought of Hilbert too…if they would bring him back…I dont think the Bs gave up on him, more of a case of he thinks hes better than he is (has been).

  20. captainjoefish says:

sammy needs to go i think he is overrated and he may have a few good games but he is always hurt!!!!! he most of the time over stickhandles and gives up the puck we are better with out him

as for pk guys i agree keeping axelsson and primeau but i think they should still keep green who is great at faceoffs and leahy who i think has played great

do not forget about the solution speed speed speed well to really make it work they need to keep boynton and get rid of GILL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. samsdad says:

    Forgot about Leahy….very good player….

I think Gill could go either way…has played better, and is useful on the PK…but keep as a 5-6 not a 3-4

Boynton seems to make a lot of bad decisions…and has a real problem hitting the net.. he doesnt bring alot of scoring or assists, and isnt real scary to play against….

  22. mojo19 says:

Bostons on the bubble right now, the only way they trade samsonov is if they know they wont get him resigned, and even then, why trade him to carolina, a team they may very well end up playing in the first round should they make the playoffs?

  23. Kamakaze says:

I found that funny too… I always liked Turner, I think he was a fan favorite in Jersey, very much like Randy McKay… always worked hard, and for a big tough guy, he can move the puck well, he won’t score much, but he will chip in once in a while.

A great type of guy to have come playoff time. Perhaps a younger team like Buffalo, Nashville or Carolina pick him up, for depth and experience…

  24. buster says:

HI, I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE LEAFS GOT IN RETURN FROM BOSTON WHEN THEY PICKED UP CZERKAWSKI OF WAIVERS?

AS FLORIDA GOT STEVE MONTADOR FROM CALGARY WHEN THEY PICKED UP HUSELIUS OFF WAIVERS.

SO WHAT DID THE LEAFS GET IN RETURN FOR CZERKAWSKI? DID THEY GET ANYTHING?

  25. ArmchairSniper says:

Alongside the Oil, I might think…looks like another date with Dallas lined up…I love those series. 🙂

    GOLEAFSGO

  26. Bajima says:

You don’t get anything when you place a guy on waivers…other than ditching his salary.

    Huselius was traded for Montador

  27. patdud says:

    dont forget harry sinden

  28. UWSensFan says:

They don’t have to pay his salary for the rest of the year. Not even a Timmy’s timbit will go from Boston to Toronto.

  29. JannettyTheRocker says:

Atleast the Oilers are going to the playoffs……..Bring on Dallas.

    GO OILERS GO!!!

  30. captainjoefish says:

gill has played better but is still useless we have better players for the PK we don’t need him he is our slowest player and he usually is the one guy screening the goalie

he does not hit or have any offensive talent and is a horrible skater he is just a guy we do not need

boynton is a lot better than gill and he at least hits

i have to say i have watched every game and i see gill make much more mistakes then boynton and boynton brings more offense then gill

i agree we need alot more speed as tanabe and stuart are our best d-men and leetch is o.k.

give leahy a bigger role and you will see how good he is he blocks shots and is smart and can make plays happen but will go nowhere with the guys he is playing with lacouture and langfeld are not the players he needs

  31. hockeyhead says:

habby……we drafted him. he played a couple years for us…we know what we are getting.

his flaws…..have you looked at the bruins roster lately.?

  32. simplyhabby says:

LOL I hear ya. We had him too. I know the B’s are rebuilding but for me, this guy should not even be playing at an NHL level. I think anyone on your Providence roster may be a better replacement on the wing.

  33. hockeyhead says:

i dont know…i mean we already have lacouture, pat leahy, fitzgerald, isbister and wayne primeau as our second line center…oh and josh langfeld.

i dont get czerkaski….he is a talented player.

the year to forget in every way for bruin fans.

what do you think about the jose trade? salary dump? huet looks to be the number one. why get abs? your thoughts.
