		<description><![CDATA[I agree with the above comment, he was becoming more well rounded with Toronto.&#160; Considering his eyesight, it&#039;s a minor miracle that he can play at all.&#160; One thing that no one really talks about, is that he is the rare athlete who actually manned up to the fact that he used a performance enhancing drug, and took responsibility for it.&#160; No half empty denials or anything like that.&#160; I still wish he had never taken them, but I admire the fact that he took responsibility for what was going into his body.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Berard is still one of the better offensive defensemen in the league.&#160; He was really in the wrong place at the wrong time with Columbus.&#160; If he can be put in a situation where he doesn&#039;t have to play 25 minutes a night, and doesn&#039;t have to play against top lines, he could really do well.&#160; He could be a very good 3-4 defenseman.&#160; And Berard is not a slacker, that wasn&#039;t his issue in Columbus.&#160; It&#039;s that he is just not a great defensive defenseman, which got him in trouble with Coach Hitch in Columbus.&#160; Ted Nolan knows how to get the most out of his players, and Berard could be a fit.&#160; He&#039;s a competitor, and hopefully he&#039;ll get his career back on track either with the Islanders or another team.]]></description>
