I don't think you can give a player an offer sheet once he has filed for arbitration.

Unload Raycorft's salary (we can't even give this guy away) and trade two checking line wingers for someone who score over 80 points and is locked up for a modest 3.5 a year? Keep dreaming.

Maybe Raycroft and a 3rd rounder or Raycroft and the contractual right to Jonas Hoglund. LOL

He's definitely not their franchise player...one good season doesn't make him a franchise player...and that's why so many of you leaf fans are over-valuing him and saying raycroft, steen and stajan for camalleri.

just a question but isnt cammallari and RFA and if the kings dont match what the arbitratior awarded him cant the leafs jsut try and sign him instead of trading away steen and stajan

K first off the rumor is for Kubina to go to LA and possibly staja/Raycroft. the rumor has nothing to do with steen

Why does everyone keep bashing Raycroft, he was amazing in the beginning of the season and he just got tired, a goalie that young should not play 72 games in one season. He is still a good goalie and give hime a few years, he could easily start for ANY team in the NHL. He has more value than a lot of people think. Steen, well we didnt trade him for Pronger or the second overall pick so what makes you think we are gonna trade him in a package for Cammalleri. Stajan is sadly going, this kid has a bright future and is really good on the PK. The Leafs will add one of their defencive prospects and some picks to get Cammalleri. We will then sign Peca and CUJO

Cammalleri would be an awesome acquisition. Yes, he's one of the Kings main guys but the arbitrator didn't think that the numbers he put up were that extra ordinary. I would pull the trigger on this deal but it would be for either of Steen or Stajan and Raycroft, not all three.
