Back up plan for the Red Wings should be Semin as well. I could see him getting the attention he wants now, I think a few teams will step it up and make a firm offer to Semin.

The Wings should also look at Carlo Colaiacovo and Michael Roszival as potential defencemen to sign.

But on quick look does that line-up fall under the cap?

Also I can’t see that package being sufficient for nash, tangradis value has dropped …. Is Bennett really a cornerstone piece?… Kennedy is a solid bottom sixer….don’t know much of harrington…. Martin struggled last season…. Wasn’t his best….the first is likely to fall anywhere after 15th….

To me it seems more like quantity over quality…. And howson is keen on both quality and quantity

I don’t blame them. Nash isn’t exactly a huge need for them. They already have a big bodied power forward in Staal, and they already have a big bodied power forward that can put up 30 to 40 goals a year and 70 plus points in Staal.

Skinner may be small but he represents a skill level they need and he fits into their future top 6 nicely. Plus he’s a hell of lot cheaper.

I never really thought about Semin being signed to the Pens. Playing on a line with Crosby, Semin could potentially hit 45 again. Semin has one of the best shots in the league, with Crosby feeding him the puck that would be extremely dangerous!

The Leafs failed to sign Marty Brodeur, time to sign the only guy who comes close – Dominic Hasek. Think Marty is experienced? Ha, the Dominator is 47 years old, and he’s open to a come back. You gotta love that old man, what a crazy guy. I bet he could still be a solid back up if he really wanted to, but it would never happen anywhere.

I didn’t want Despres or Barker with Niskanen. So I just put him there with Letang by default. My original idea was for them to go after Yandle and either have Despres start in the minors or rotate in, but I was too lazy to come up with a trade proposal.
