Yes, Semin is very talented but no chance a team with Burke and Carlyle get Semin when they already have Kessel.

Offence isn't a problem for the Leafs, no need to go after a guy who is strictly and offensive player. I like him, I think he's extremely skilled but in no way do I want him on the Leafs.

Besides, the two year deal for Connolly isn't looking too nice right now I doubt Burke signs another UFA for huge money at two years, unless it's something they really need. They don't need anything that bad who they can acquire in UFA this year for 5+ mill other than Suter but that's going to take quite a bit more than 2 or 3 years.

I doubt he goes to the KHL. His agent has already said as much, which while it doesn't mean a lot, it means a little. He'll get his big money quite easily I would think.

He's easily the second best offensive player available in free agency, and he's still young. He has surreal skill and the ability to hit 30 goals pretty easy, especially if he's getting top line time on a team.

oh god, I hate Semin soooooo much (lol) but I can't deny that adding him for free from UFA would really do well for the Maple Leafs.

Got to say once Semin leaves the Capitals I'll finally be a fan. Go Caps Go.

Could see a line of semin grabovski kulimen doing quite well. Grabo being.. Well pretty much russian and having a strong work ethic could motivate semin also. Grabovski used to have bad attitude but he changed it around and could be a mentor for semin.

LOL, I don't know. Putting Ovi on the second line would really piss him off. You'd have to trade lupul, which I guess works out because his trade value is real high right now.

Anyway, Semin could benefit with a change of scenery. He's definitely got skill, but I don't think he'll get back on track for Washington.

Washington could start building a new team if they decided to trade Ovi, not that I think they should, but they would sure gain a lot.

Semin won't be there next season, and they would be smart to trade his negotiation rights to whoever thinks they can keep him out of the KHL. Vokoun also walks, Holtby and Neuvirth can hold the 1a 1b goaltending duties without a problem. I've always liked Halpern, I doubt he leaves. Knuble could stay as veteran depth for cheap too, he's no longer a 2nd line power forward. Wideman produces a lot of offense on that powerplay, but he's terrible defensively, he stays as a PP QB but won't see 20+ minutes in most games. I don't know much about Aucoin, but why would they let him go for nothing?
