Could the Leafs swing a deal for Nabokov?
Ron Wilson could be reunited with Nabokov. But will #Isles trade a quality G within East again for a draft pick or iffy prospect?

LeafsNation, only in Toronto are people so impressed with mediocrity. But the smart hockey fans know the Leafs are not nearly as good as their record.
Now if the Leafs turn it around and start playing well, I will be the first to say so.
You can be in complete agreement all you want, it doesn't make you right or me wrong. I am not blinded by "W's" either, I am actually very realistic. Could Kulemin be playing better, sure, but by your reasoning, when Kessel was going in slumps last year he should've logged 3rd or 4th line minutes. looking at the glass as half full, doesn't make me or my opinion stupid.
what about lupul-colbourne-kessel
kulemin and grabovski are pretty solid defenders and can protect connolly if he needs protection, while connolly can provide the playmaker role. while colbourne+kessel+lupul would be a great line. Colbourne could clear way for kessel and lupul and also provide some extra firepower than bozak.
Connolly is better defensively then you think. he was a part of the PK in Buf, so don't sell him short.
Touche, I'll give you Kulemin, but a player that is going to want a big pay increase at seasons end needs to produce. We cannot justify his play and say it is great by saying he's getting chances, its just babying a player that ahs underperformed.
When I mean that most of you guys are blind by W's, I'm referring to JoelLeafs, mojo, and blaze specifically, not exactly you. All I heard the last week has how good they are, their in a slump, etc. But how can you justify a teams play when they are only killing about half of their PK's and has give up the most GA of any team in the league? Also, being outperformed most nights? You cannot, but the W's are giving Leaf fans the illusion this team is good. When in reality, if this team does not improve their play in the near future, it looks like no playoffs once again. Were not making a statement…Were just giving a warning about the reality of the situation. The Leafs are waking on a fine line…But they can improve it but its up to them.
Good for you and Leafy, you seem to be outnumbered here.
No its not but at the end of the day, all that really matters is the win. This would be a completely different story if we weren't winning but we are. We can afford this right now.
Woopdeedoo. I was right about Grabo as well (and seem to remember being the only one saying it) and was right about Phaneuf. That doesn't make you right about everything.

I remember last year (before the Beauchemin trade) cam and mojo having a discussion on grabbing Lupul. Mojo was for it, Cam against (and I was with cam at the time). Looking back, mojo calling for Lupul was insanely smart. Look how good he's been.
Do you read comments on here fully? Because I'm damn sure that JoelLeafs, mojo and blaze expressed concerns about certain things and aren't being blinded by the W's. But carry on.
I don't mean to be condescending, but apparently you have a lot to learn about this game.
LeafsNation, don't waste your time. Most of the Leaf fans have left this site long ago. Ever wonder why?
Bozak is destined to be traded, I still think I would prefer MacArthur on that line rather than Conolly.
We badly outplayed Florida and took the 5-1 loss because they scored every time they were in our end. We were outplayed by St.Louis but got a solid game from Scrivens and grabbed the win. And, to be fair, we looked great for stretches in that game.
Nikolai Kulemin had 1 goal at this time last year, he finished with 30. He's a notorious slow starter. So is Iginla, so are a lot of players. Use a little discretion guys.
And yes, Josh, not TheLeafNation91 was the one guy on this site really standing up for Grabovski while he was struggling. Nice try, trying to steal his thunder. SMH
Ya buddy. Lupul is a pimp. I had him listed as a trade target on my blog at the beginning of last year, and then brought it up again a couple weeks before the trade happened, which was weird. And ya, Cam hated the idea, but looks like a sweet trade so far. (knocking on wood)
Says a guy who is all-time favourite Leaf was Kaberle.
I did, but I cannot now , its kind of an epiphany. You'll experience it soon.
'Lookin' good baby! I guess the realists think we're great again? haha. Seriously though, solid effort tonight.' This is just this thread from mojo.
this is versus St. Louis. Toronto was dominated that whole game, gave up a PP, gave up a 2-0 lead.
How is that a solid effort? Were we watching the same game?
Its true, playing badly is discouraging, but you also have to allow for the possibility that this is just a slump that the team, as good teams are able to do, is surviving it based on either goaltending, or if thats bad, scoring.
But I agree, the team needs serious improvement if they are going to keep up this pace.
Yeah that's what I was talking about. I didn't like the idea either. I thought it was a waste to bring in a guy that really wasn't a powerforward and had struggled with injuries. Boy was I wrong. Good call.

So one comment, makes all three of them delusional. if you read early comments they had concerns of their own.
While I like that stat because it backs the two of us up, I will mention one little small thing. Kulemin wasn't playing on this line yet (if I remember correctly), so only 1 goal was a little bit more acceptable.
As long as their occuring, the likelyhood of losing will happen.
Tonights against Ottawa is a big test, lose, and then they lost four points already to a bottom feeder.
Oh of course. I don't think any of us are disagreeing with that. We're just not as concerned about it right now since we're currently winning.
But they will and most likey will be a bottom feeder team.
Losing points from these will hurt them in April.
I will predict an Ottawa win…All beacuse of their PP.
But they aren't right now. Looking at what they will be or what they were is irrational. They aren't a bottom feeder right now and they weren't when they beat us last time this season. That itself infers they aren't playing the game of a bottom feeder. If you can't understand that simple of logic, I don't know what to say.
My all time favourite Leaf is Mats Sundin. But ya, Kabba, Antropov. Unlike you, I'm a Leafs fan, so I cheer for our players. That's just the way it goes.
And for the record, Kaberle is 5th on the Leafs in career assists, all time. I'm older than you, I grew up watching this guy when he was great and before you were able to formulate opinions. Plays a huge factor.
