    Good job by the Coyotes.

This deal is one of those deals that might get looked over during all the fooforall of the deadline, but could be one of the best.

Getting a solid young, tough defenceman can only help any team. This probably was done so Mara and Markov can think more about offence than the rough stuff.

This doesn’t mean Numminen is on his way out either. TSN.CA has an article saying that Phoenix won’t ask him to waive his no trade clause.

Florida’s GM can go hang out with San Jose’s and Pittsburgh’s GMs in the room o’ shame.

Florida got kicked square in the teeth on this deal. I’d rather have a bag of pucks than Darcy Hordichuk. The pucks are less likely to get suspended.

The Panthers were actively trying to unload Ference. I am not sure why. What did he do to fall so out of favor in Florida. There must be something wrong with this guy because it looks too one-sided in favor of Phoenix otherwise.

Can anyone tell me what the hell the Panthers are doing? Anyone?

Everyone is forgetting that second rounder they got in the deal. Since this draft is so deep its like a first rounder in other years. And Florida has a lot of young D-men coming up next season so Ferance was looking like the odd man out. He is a good player, will play his heart out for his team too. Hordichuck I think will either play in San Antino (AHL) or be a 4th line/scratch most games.

I agree in this draft a second round pick will be more significant than in past years. Hordichuk is just a throw in to the deal.
