Jets want offense, a top 6 forward. If TO wanted Kane, they’d likely be giving up several players (Grabo & another roster player or high prospect) to get him.

I don’t know if I would go as far to say that Duchene will be better than Gal or Grig, it’s a tight race.

If anything they would be looking for a solid two way or defesive minded D man think Schenn and to a lesser extent Holzer may hold some value.

Basically the way I see it is if we can’t trade up to the two spot and grab Gal, then we need to eith trade back and aquire mor assets like two 1sts, or trade it for an established player. It is time to shit or get off the pot and I think Burke knows it. drafting anyone but him is a waste of time as they will be good but not impact type players, if other teams are enamoured then let them take the pick. I would be highly disappointed if we draft reinhart say, even though I like him as a player

For sure, top center is top priority for Leafs, but doesn’t mean they won’t look to upgrade elsewhere, and let’s be honest, the Leafs could use upgrades in every position.

I think the price may be steeper for Kane than what we’re talking about here, now that I’ve thought about it more. He’s improved every season he’s played in the NHL, and is coming off of a 30 goal season at the young age of 22. Not saying he’s untouchable, but thinking now that the 5th plus Army/Lombardi might not be enough, might have to throw in a good prospect too (Frattin, Kadri, etc) to get a player as good as Kane.
