Anyone who says Domi can't skate has never been to a Leaf game. He's actually pretty damn fast, just he's a choppy skater, doesn't do all that ditsy skating that Havlat and Alfredson do.

I admit, I'm poor, only been to a Leafs game once, Leafs 2002-2003 home opener. Domi scored our only goal in a 2-1 loss to Ottawa. Domi scored a real pretty goal that he scored because of his skating.

He can skate... he just can't shoot, pass, or fight any more. And even his passing is still not terrible. When he, Wilm, and Kilger are on the ice, the puck never seemes to leave the opposing zone, they put on such amazing pressure. Love those guys.

First of all, I’m 13, second of all, tell that to my 80 other articles I’ve had posted here, and third, it just means it’s less likely because Tanenbaum doesn’t wanna piss off his wife by making one of her best friends move to Pittsburgh. This is basically what I’ve heard on several boards similar to this, so would you please stop comming off as retarded?

Domi is useless, we knew that 3 years ago…and we still know it now. Drop the gloves already, you’re not a scorer, at least throw a check. Nobody will want him for the salary he has.

dude is this article for real. r u telling me domi cant be traded because of tennebaum, or his wife. what are you 12 years old. is this the first time you’ve tried coming up with a story. be a little more creative. this is a business, and anyone can get traded at any freakin’ time. WAKE UP!

"Even before they took the ice last night, a rumour emanating from Toronto claimed the Leafs are in for a lineup shakeup, with Boston defenceman Brian Leetch returning to Toronto, where he played in the 2003-04 playoff run.

No other names were mentioned, but suggestions making the rounds in St. Paul had the Leafs moving Jason Allison, only because his bonus-laden salary would leave more room under the salary cap if it was off the books.

The unsubstantiated rumour also reflects both on the Leafs' need for a defenceman and the question of McCabe's health."

now i think this won't happen but its not like the leafs are giving up any youth here. I would rather see them get a younger d-guy like Leopold from calgary but some draft picks could have to be added there.

but i would be stoked about this trade if JFJ could do one simple thing: bring up more young D-guys and keep them up so that they can learn from Leetch. especially guys like Coliacovo and White who are great offensive D-guys - this would do them a world of good!

granted, the leafs could also trade Klee and try to get rid of Khavanov and Berg (but no one will take them - maybe klee though).

but this would just be addressing a short-term need and the cap. I'd rather see the leafs part with Lindros (when he comes back) for Leetch. i would fine with that trade any day.

i know you put this rumor to rest for totally different reasons, but the main reason why this won't happen is because it is just too unrealistic and bad for the Pens.

i mean - is this a serious speculation?

I have a feeling that Domi may retire at the end of this year. He’s a stubbern guy, but he must know that his time is up. He’ll do what’s best for both him and the team, which is retire while the name Domi still means something.
