The Pens need a defenseman that is more stable defensively. The game is slowly starting to pass Blake by, he's barely holding onto his status as a top defenseman. The Kings give him a ton of minutes, but its mainly out of necessity.

I wouldn't give anymore than a 2nd round pick and some change for Blake at this point. Only a team that really needs some offense from the blueline should be looking at him, and the Pens already have Gonchar for that.

I honestly think the Penguins should make a move for Rob Blake.

Send them something like Eric Christesen, Jeff Taffe and a 2nd round pick, or Ryan Malone and a 1st rounder (maybe too much) for Blake.

One of the few rumors I could see coming to fruition is Tarnstrom getting traded.

The Pens should try to get him back. After all, a little known fact is that Dick Tarnstrom ACTUALLY LED THE PENS IN SCORING ONE YEAR!! That's right. Remember that little bit of trivia. In 20 years they'll ask, in the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s, aside from Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr and Sidney Crosby, who else led the Penguins in scoring?

Answer: Dick Tarnstrom with 52 points in 2003-04!

Ryder and Huet should still be traded

Why?....I'll tell you why...

They won't re-sign in Montreal and even if Huet loves Montreal he will still be asking more that 3.5 Million a season. I wouldn't mind Huet staying in Montreal but only for a 1 year deal.

Ryder will sign somewhere else, No way Bob Gainey will pay him what hes getting now. If Ryder will accept anything from 1.5 to 2.5 per year then keep him in Montreal.

If they both have no intention to Re-sign then trade them while they could get something for them.

Montreal needs to beef-up upfront, To many players getting shoved around!

This is a "Stanley cup run" year for the sens, and I'm afraid our one weak link has to be goaltending.

I would not offload Emery and put this teams hopes all on Martin Gerber during the playoffs, as he'll do what he always does when there is pressure on him... and that is fold like a lawn chair. I would still rather have Emery over Gerber and work on him in practice to get his game back close to where it was the year before.

Ultimately goaltending has been the achilles heal of the Sens most seasons, and seeing as their are no goaltenders available really at all this year then they really should keep both goalies and just ride the one whose playing better at the time.

I doubt Bryan Murray will trade Ray Emery, at least not yet anyway. I see him keeping both Emery and Gerber for a Play-Off run then trading one in the summer to give him for Cap flexibility for some of his pending RFA's.
