Thats what I like to hear.
When is everyone going to realize that Koivu is a 2nd line center at this point in his career??
Forsberg won't even cut it in my opinion, cause I think he's too injury prone at this stage. Would you go for youth or would you go with experience in trading players before the deadline??

hey shawn84 where do u think we are gonna get this #1 center or winger from? our only real hope is getting forsberg, which is somewhere between slim and almost none which gainey may have to mortgage alot of future for and could only be a playoff rental at best. Teams don't just give up first line players because they fall out of the playoff race thats why i suggested calling up their top goal scorer for a team that has a hard time scoring goals and he is a right winger. What the habs need will not be avaialble to them at the trade deadline. Do u think smolinski , lapointe or aucoin from chicago is the answer? hell no, if forsberg gets traded it will probably be to the western conference likely detroit or anaheim where he can contend for a cup. I'm just being realistic, what your doing is wishful thinking, nothing wrong with that though, believe me we both want the same thing

All of you just stop with the plekanec and higgins , give duncan milroy a chance bull shit. Yes higgins is good, plekanec is good.

And yes we don't need a #2 center why ..... we already have one koivu ....
We need a #1 center, to be quite honest we need a # 1 anything. I love the players we have but they are all 2nd line and 3rd line players, we don't have an all-star , we don't have a game breaker player. That's what we need! For the last 5-6 years probably even more we hadn't had a guy that could get more than 70 points!!!(koivu in 2002) How the hell do you want to make it deep in the playoffs when you don't have any players who are big point getters. If you guys want to settle for mediocrity well that's fine with me, but i can't. I can agree that we have a good support group, but we have too many. We need all star players now, it's been a decade since we've had one and i'm tired of waiting. Ever since Roy left we've had no one. It's sad when Stephen Richer is our last 50 goal scorer!!! We need changes and we need them soon, I love my team but when you keep giving me mediocrity for ten years and i grew up with glory it's disrespecting me and the fans that you know will pay even when you don't give us what we deserve. I want an all-star and all you habs fan deserve one. If you guys are content with one round of playoffs than that's sad to hear cuz i want the cup, and well with the team we have now, realistically we are lucky to get to the second round!

If you look at other teams you can clearly identify the stars, when i look at the habs you can't, you can't identify one star player. Well there is souray and markov, but that's defence! Where's the offensive star ....... None ......

i think its time duncan milroy got a shot, he's led the bulldogs in goals and points all year and would actually have less impact on the cap than grabovski, kostitsyn and lapierre, milroy has paid his dues in the minors, he deserves a shot. if he's not gonna get one then trade him along with cory locke before u lose him for nothing, and personally i'm tired of losing players for nothing and seeing them become good players on other teams

we don't need another center, we need a proven powerforward to play on the first line. plekanec has finally proven himself, kovalev is lazy as hell, i wish samsonov would shot more often but at least he works hard and is even on a team loaded with minuses. carbo is not to blame at all here, this team is getting killed by penalties. first of all only florida has had less powerplays than the habs ( about 240 ) meanwhile most teams are around 300 by now with pittsburg and carolina around 330. could u imagine if the number 2 ranked powerplay had another 90 oppurtunites t o operate, how many more goals would of this given us and how many more points in the standings. then we go to penalty killing most penalized team in the eastern conference, which means we have the worst ratio in the league and yet we still hold a playoff spot ( for now ) while the other teams in this situation are days away from becoming trade deadline sellers this team is well coached, but if u watched the games against pittsburg and ottawa, it doesn't take a genious to figure out that the habs are getting screwed by bad officiating, only 8 times this year we've had more powerplays than the oppositon, u can't win games when your always killing penalties, maybe if 40% of the leagues refs didn't come from ontario, it might be a different story

I'm not too sure whats wrong with the Habs. Could there be problems in the dressing room? A revolt against the coach? Or too much over-achieving and now reality has sunk in. A couple of things i do know,
- Kovalev is lazy and gives up on plays way too often
- Komsiarek takes too many dumb penalties
- Niinama same as Above
- Samsanov, just wish he could finish his dazzling skating with a goal
- Habs let up too many shots a game (thank god for Huet and Abby)
- 5 on 5 play is terrible

But what do i know?
