Possible, but other than the WJC and the playoffs last year, I’m pretty confident in Fleury’s record.

I think with the season being as short as it is, it’s going to come down to who’s hot. If the Pens start strong I don’t see anyone beating them this year. My only concern with Fleury (fantasy wise) is they could run with Vokoun, if Fleury has a string of bad performances. So I’m definitely going after both of them for my fantasy league.

I think this season could be huge for a lot of the vets out there that don’t have the energy for a full bore 82 game season. I think Iggy is going to kill it. He can safely go all out knowing he likely won’t see the post season and only has to play 42 games.

hah. I did that with my playoff pool two years ago with Vancouver and fucking destroyed everyone. I think I would revise my list to include Fleury. After the playoffs I think a lot of people will undervalue him way too much.

True, but is he realistically going to get that many more fantasy points than Stammer, Malkin, Crosby, Hank, Giroux, and Spezza? If he was available for my 2nd pick, I’d jump on it.

I don’t disagree with him being potentially top 5 by season’s end, but fantasy wise, I dunno. Same with Seguin. I think he’ll kill it this year, especially if the system has to adjust for not having Whiney McThomas, but I’m not taking him in my pool if Stamkos, Crosby, Malkin and co are available.

So does Pheonix even have an owner yet? All this Luongo talk kills me. Have people forgotten Mike Smith exists? Is he willing to resign in Pheonix, what did the lockout do to this teams future? I’d love Mike Smith in the blue and white.

I gotta say there’s only a handful of guys I’m taking before John Tavares in a fantasy draft. I don’t even think its a stretch to be calling him a top 5 player by seasons end. Looked great in the Spengler, screw training camp he’s ready to go now.

The big thing with Kipper is the amount of games he’s played over that time. In those 7 seasons he played 74, 74, 76, 76, 73, 71 and 70 games. I wonder whether having the shortened season will help him. If the Leafs are trading for a goalie, then I think he should be their top target not Luongo.
