Actually, having Forsberg comeback and sign with a team could have raised the value of Sundin. If Forsberg signed in the West teams like the ducks, stars, wings and nucks would all need to react to counter that, and that is where Sundin's value will sky rocket to the highest it could be. But that is only depending on where Forsberg signed.

You are right though on a general level Forsberg not coming back means Sundin will be targeted by more teams east and west.
