Man you are way off the mark with your comments! First of all Parent only played 10 playoff games last year, with limited ice time. He is currently playing for the Guleph Storm. So by saying he hasn't done much in the AHL makes no sense?

Upshall, could be a bust but he's only like 22. He hasn't gotten a great chance in Nashville because they are loaded up front.

And why would Philly re trade these picks and players now? They are already mathematically eliminated from the playoffs? Why not wait until next year to sign some UFA's.

Nashville was a contender for the cup to begin with. While the Flyers won the trade, I still don’t think the Preds are definates to make it that far.

If that was the way it worked, then I am wrong. But if it isn't…and why would him and Ed have had these meetings repeatedly if all he had to do was say he wanted to stay? All in all, it was a great trade, I believe, in favor of the Flyers. It seems they will quickly rebound from a disasterous season if they can draft well as they've shown in the past. Do you think Pitkanen is the next to go??

Look, if he wanted to stay, he would have denied the trade and said no because he wanted to stay. This has nothing to do with anything other than him wanting to be in a better situation.

I dunno man, it only takes one guy signing on to start an domino effect. Say, if Timmonen decided to sign with the flyers and come play and live near his brother, you might see some other big names sign on.

signing a first line center is a must for the offseason though

Stop your whinning.
If you don't like Ed Snider & Flyers, go watch another team play.
No ones holding a gun to your head and making you watch them.
Just stop crying like a baby.
Any real fan sees this move as a great move,
More so for the Flyers because we just made our team stronger for years to come.
While Nashville has to win now.
